This blog has nothing to do with the song, although the song is quite catchy. MIA refers to me being MIA (missing in action) for a while. I've been sick the last few weeks so haven't really felt like writing much. I'm still not 100% but closer to it then most days so figured I'd give it a go. I'll try and do a couple a week at least.
Work has been so boring these last few weeks. It's been slower than normal so I find myself staring at the clock all day and I swear it keeps freezing on me since a minute feels like 13 of em. At least traffic hasn't been bad the last little while getting home (I just jinxed it I know).
I read in the paper that a man was recently rescued in Haiti after being trapped for over 4 weeks in rubble. That's what a I call a survivor. I didn't even think that was possible with no food or water. Its really a huge tragedy in Haiti and we should all do whatever we can to help out. You don't have to know someone there or be from there to help, just help because its the humane thing to do. Start a fundraiser and this time don't pocket the money for yourself. Steal your parents money and give it to a charity. Rob a bank and....nevermind try to do things the legal way. The Canadian government has promised to match all donations so whatever you give boost your ego by telling yourself you're actually giving twice that amount!
You know what really irks me? Celebrities claiming to be humanitarians. So many of them will donate $10,000 and act like they are saviors when their net worth is like $100 million+. Stop donating the money you find in your sofa and donate something real. If I make $30,000 a year and I donate $100, that's 0.003% of what I make (wow that would make me cheap). Anyways, 0.003% of $100 million is $300,000. There are so many celebrities and athletes out there that are worth over $100 million after all their endorsements and what not and donate a whopping $10,000. Or the CEOs of major companies, where are they? Maybe sell one of your Ferrari's you've never driven and donate that money. Or sell one of your jets, or children (sell whichever is worth more to you, probably the jet).
Speaking of jets, my coworker made a paper airplane and it was an epic failure. I altered it by adding rudders and air holes and got it to fly pretty damn good. I should have been an engineer.
Peace.
