Life in HD

Four eyes, specks, nerd, dork, dorkus, Numair Bari, specky four eyes, geek, googly eyes, coke bottles, Harry Potter. These are all terms you can use on me now since I have glasses. But Clark Kent (aka Superman) wears glasses too, so I'm in good company. And besides, I can now see all of your ugly, and I wouldn't be talking if I was you.

I didn't know my vision was so bad until I got these glasses. Now I feel like life is in High Definition! I can read street signs from miles away and see all the imperfections on people's faces (scary). I'm going to have to get contacts for basketball so I can see the net better and maybe I'll become a better shooter because of it.

My basketball league started last Saturday and the competition this year seems through the roof. I'm going to start taking horse steroids (this is a joke children, steroids = bad) so I can keep up with everyone. I have been going to the gym and my cardio is starting to go up (I still hate treadmills).

I learned how to swim! But I still can't float. So if I had to abandon ship (literally) I'd be able to swim for a bit then I'd just drown once I had to stop. Floating seems impossible to me. I'm going to work on infinite cardio instead. A treadmill has to have a finish line/end point somewhere, I'll find it.

Oh and here is an excellent link for slacker tips at work.

That's it for now. Peace.

(btw I love you Numair, in the most non-gay, non-Osama type of way)

Good thing insurance is paying for all this

Work has been pretty stressful today. I know its a Friday but its been tough. My manager, team leader and I have been working on something for the greater part of the morning. Normally it doesn't get this bad but it has occupied a lot of my time today. I haven't even started on the pile of files on my desk because of it. We've been trying to figure out where to go for lunch. I know, my job is tough. We still haven't figured it out yet. I'm saying shawarma but we are having a little disagreement there. I think I may need to take a few stress days off.

I started going to a chiropractor since my short lived stunt driving career took a turn for the worst (car accident). I go in for about 5 minutes and he cracks my back and neck in ways I never thought possible. Its kinda creepy hearing your neck or back crack so loudly but apparently its all part of the process. His name says doctor so I don't question it.

I had my first professional massage of my life and I must say it was bliss. Yes it helped that she was cute but the massage itself was what was amazing. It really does help you relax and the stress just comes right off. Good thing my insurance company is paying for all of this since I'm planning on getting it on the regular (I'm also seeing a physiotherapist, yay for insurance claims!).

I still haven't bought another car. I'm leeching off my parents (clearly I have no pride, but hey I'm brown). It does feel nice not to pay for gas, a car payment or insurance. I feel like I'm rich (I'm not) all of a sudden with all this money that I'm saving. Then I realize I pretty much have to give it all to OSAP eventually (or with their payment plan, in 114 installments, that's 10 years!).

Going to the raptors game tonight to watch the lowly Knicks take on the lowly Raptors. First live game this season, should be a blast. Look for me on the Jumbotron.

Peace.
